yeh i see it. you have to get it with the performance package. that is the only way to get it.

Let me reword my question...is the performance package incompatible with the Mark Levinson package? I've tried the costco car buying guide and the lexus website and both seem to say it is incompatible.

Again this is for an AWD 2008 rx350.

As long as you want to special order it and pay full price. You can get it with the ML package.

The ML on the RX is not worth it IMO.

Different strokes for different folks.

I listened to both extensively and find the ML to be much more natural and uncolored. Unfortunately the road noise of the RX diminishes the performance of either system but the ML is definitely cleaner sounding with less boominess. (is that even a word? )

The root problem is Lexus (Toyota for this matter) produces vehicles with option packages. {allocation is another factor that drives dealers to ask for packages that gives them most profit .. but that is another story**

One can go the dealer and ask for a specifically configure vehicle. [This would eat into the allocation slot] and if you refuse to take delivery, the dealer will have to then put up with it.

For such vehicles, the dealers are typically reluctant to order one for you. Negotiations are more difficult and fleet purchase price are almost unattainable.

But theoretically you can order order Lexus without moon-roof, with fabric seats and air suspension without ML.
