Default Attraction Vs VSC ... I'm Lost (HELP)

I have RX350 in which VSC cannot be disables but there are some techniques to do so by playing with Brakes and Parking Brakes. My question is if I disable VSC, will Attraction control still work. My understanding is that Attraction control is good in Off-Road especially on sand becuase it moves the torque to the other normal tyres leaving the slipping one. However, with VSC enabled Attraction is not doing well on sand because of the engine being slowed down by VSC which keeps my RX350 stuck in sand.

Can someone help?

Attraction control? Unless you become ascetic, having it out of control should not be a problem. ... maybe some day I will get there.

The traction and skid work in predominantly two different domain .. typically the traction works moving from stand still and the skid control is while in motion. They can be controlled by power transfer and braking. I am very familiar with the early RX300 and since then Lexus has changed how they achieve these functions.

Hopefully, person who knows RX330/350 will educate us.

The RX350 4WD system is pretty similar to the 300's. The 330 is different. When you disable VSC, the traction control is engage. The traction control is what get most people stuck in the sand, thats where having a low range gear box really helps.

are you sure you can turn it off via parking brake and brake techniques? i think your confusing this car with the IS series, which allows the person to do that.

IIRC, the rx is stuck with traction control an VSC

In my 2008 canadian RX 350 there is a button (under the steering column) that lets you turn off traction control so that the torque is evenly distributed in any situation. It is great for kicking up some snow.

Not sure if you can turn off the VSC as there are a couple buttons down there. One is for traction control, one is for the ASL (auto sound leveling) and there might be a third one but I'm not sure. I will check and post back.

Ok so I just checked and there are two buttons under the column, one turns of the tire pressure monitoring system and the other one has an icon of a car with little swerving tracks behind it. I guess that's VSC. So that would mean there is no way of turning off traction control?

No-No you are right on the 2 buttons but confused on what they do...lol The tire pressure button is for a reset not turn off--you cannot turn that off!!

The Other button if you hold it for like 3 seconds it turns OFF the VSC and traction control---your car is free of any electronic stability nannies Its fun if you like power sliding in the snow Or stuck and need constant wheelspin..
To turn it back on press it again or turn the car off and then back on it will default back to on
