I was in the dealership this week and stopped into the parts dept. to see if they had a special, yea right, on the Nav DVD for my 04 RX 330. Mine is still on the original DVD and was thinking about getting the update. The parts guy stated that "new ones came in and yes they have them". I asked if this was a new update for 2007 and he said yes. The price was 299 or 279, forget, which is what I thought it normally was.
So, my question is did Lexus release a new update recently? If so, has anyone updated their 04 with it?
Thanks

I got the 2007 RX350. I believe the version I have is version 6. It has the "I Agree" screen and what I have read from this site. The version 7.1 version will eliminate that screen.

Reportedly, not for Gen3/Gen4. So, you can update to 7.1, but for Gen3/Gen 4 Nav systems, "I Agree" will still be there.

I think the 04 is Gen 3, so if I upgrade to 7.1 do I still have access to the back door override? Understand the "I agree" will still be there, but I like being able to have my wife enter destinations while driving.

I mentioned this in my other thread, but it seem like this is more appropriate for it.
I just got 2008 RX 350 with Nav and it does not have "I accept" screen. What it does now is gives you a caution screen that displays for about 2 sec and then goes into map view/mode automatically. You can make it go there as soon as lexus logo shows up with clicking any of the Nav buttons.
Also, I am not sure how older version of the Nav was with bluetooth, but you can enter address now with voice commands. Actually you can do pertty much everything with voice commands - from controlling your temperature to making phone calls. I hear that some buttons were locked out while driving and to be honest I have not seen that yet, but I could not have played with it enough while driving to notice that. However, I assume that voice commands will help you enter any address that you like over the speaker while driving.
Ask questions about it and I will try to answer them
