Thanks for the link ivan330, just placed an order with them.
Hopefully I'll be as lucky as you are and the Lexus dealer in my area does not charge me an arm and a leg to have the key cut and programmed.

I suggest you call them up, if they can cut it themselves, find out how much it would cost. If they ask a lot (whatever it may be to you), you can find some places online which may cut the key for you, but I do not know what they would charge. And... they may require you to have bought the blank key from them...
Good luck! Also let us know how it turns out; how much, which dealership, etc.

Thanks Ivan330,
Just got the key today, it kind of looks like it's about the same quality as the original one. Called two dealers near me and both said that they just got the key cutting machine and are in the process of setting it up, couldn't tell me when it will be up and running. Luckily we have several Lexus dealers within driving distance, so I'll check on the other ones. One said that they will not charge me to program the key and the other one wanted $60. I'll keep you guys posted and Thanks again to you and everyone in this great forum.

After a couple of months of procrastinating finally got the key from the company that Ivan330 suggested, cut and programmed free of charge by Lexus of Rockville, MD. They were very friendly and helpful. Thanks again Ivan330 for saving us lots of $$$$.
