Smile Individual ECU for HID System

I have an 04 RX330 and I thought my driver side low beam bulb blew.. So I purchased another one on ebay ($44.95 & dealer charges $315) but that wasn't the problem. Took it to the dealer and they ran a diagnostic which said that the Individual E.C.U. for HID system needed to be replaced which the front bumper cover has to be removed to replace. The part is $295 their price and $300 labor. I really can't afford that price. Is there anyone in the forum here that can recommend a site where I can get it less expensive? I really need some help on this one.!!! THANKS in advance

Have you tried to replace the old one with the new HID bulb yet?

One thing about ebay, you need to do your homework as to which ballast is a exact replacement for your car. Once you buy it own it, no returns in most cases.
Here is one even cheaper:

Here is a lesson (at least was not a very expensive one)..

When there is a problem, you need to diagnose it a bit and not jump to a conclusion. Without any measuring equipment, should have swapped out the right bulb with the left.

So, I take it that he's out of warranty? Hence DIY.

And if the light does not light up and the good ballast no longer works, then you might have an electrical problem.
