Since I never use the roof rack, I removed them and was surprised how easy it was. Now that I have them off, I'm wondering where to get the rubber weathering strips to fill the gap where the screws used to go. Order from Lexus/Toyota or any other ideas? Thanks!

There was a thread on here some time ago about filler strips for the removed roof rack. Try using the search and putting in "roof rack". I don't recall how long ago it was but severeal months.

Darn, I do recall the thread too. You may want to check with one of our Lexus sponsers for the parts to do that. Suggest you contact Sewell Lexus parts department, they've been great, good prices and fast shipment. They are in TX I believe and last time I contacted them and ordered parts, I had the shipment in a couple of days.

Seems like people just bought the rubber insert molding and cut it up to fit in place.

That's the thread! Sewell also gives us a CL discount, although I'm embarrassed since I don't recall what that code is. I'm sure one of our other forumers can tell you though. Good Luck!

I removed the roof rack from my RX350 the first week I had the car.

I didnt go with the rubber inserts. I ordered a pair of the 6 foot long hard plastic pieces from Sewell. It is the piece that is used on the multipanel roofs with no roof rack.

Took about 3 minutes to install.

Those part numbers now show as being $90.78 each before discount -- $77.16 after discount. Quite a bit more than $25 each stated a month ago.

Anyone come up with different numbers or a different source?
