Face it - it is a very nice vehicle that is pretty much a minivan if you don't want to drive a minivan - most of them are probably going to soccer practice and only us guys really hang out here, so the 90% of the people that won't vote on this pole are the one's driving to soccer practive in an RX right now!

Yes, it is a soft riding, sloppy steering womans car/mini van without the sliding doors. My wife wanted it. I hate it. It is not built like a German car. Based on my two new in 7 months RX's Lexus quality is nothing to write home about. They have moved to quantity over quality!

Married, no kids, use my RX to carry mountain bikes and gear and trail building tools. I don't spend my time worrying about what sex "typically" drives a car.. if it appeals to me and does what I need it to do, I'm buying it... unless its an "Oprah" edition or something stupid like that I'm secure enough not to have to spend time worrying about it.... any guy even thinking about this as a serious reason not to buy one has even bigger issues to deal with

I am with you on that one... It's all about dependability , resale value, looks, and comfort. Besides you are buying an SUV and we already know why. Maybe a Dodge Darango or Jeep Grand Cherokee is a more manly choice. Good luck with that choice.

Well stated! I drive our RX and my wife drives the IS, neither of us worry to much about demographics or whether a car is manly or lady enough.

Heck, my wife and I both had RAV4's for several years, she had a white one, I had a black one. Then I had a silver one and she had a blue one. I didn't notice that driving one emasculated me...... or made her any more feminine also had a 4Runner that we both drove. Now I mostly drive the RX and she has her IS250, sometimes we even trade off.

Between the poor steering and the hard seats, my wife refuses to drive mine.

There was a long thread on the IS being a 'chick car' on the IS forum.

To me, the only real "chick" car out there is the VW Beatle.
