(DTE = Distance to Empty)

This weekend I got out of my normal habits and did not get a chance to fill my '04 RX330 FWD with gas for the start of the work week. All that paperwork and credit references before being allowed to fill up these days...

Anyway, had to make it all the way downtown before getting around to finally topping off the tank. The non-Nav system display was reading 2 miles Cruising Range or DTE. Needless to say, not something I recommend and do strongly discourage. Knew exactly where I was going was not much further so it was not really a stretch.

When done filling up I was only able to put in 16.3 gallons to shutoff without over pumping.

Cruising Range went back to its normal 365 miles when done.

Just some numbers for those who might be interested.

What is the fuel tank capacity on an RX? I know I drove on 0 DTE on my Acura for 15-20 miles when I filled up there was still another gallon in the tank.

I went to about -7 miles on the crusing range on our 04 FWD RX330. When I fill up it was usually about 17+ gallons and theh cruising range would read betweeen 385-395. Typica trip meter would show about 330 or so miles traveled.
