iPod Interface Suggestions?
Quote from my dealer regardign the iPod interface:
Factory Install: $300
Dealer Install: $900
The dealer install option isn't happening! With technology changing every couple of months, are there any new devices that will enable me to carry my iPod into my RX?

Yikes, that's highway robbery. There's absolutely no way it should cost that much to install the iPod interface kit. If the dealer isn't an option, you might want to try your local stereo shop? Other than the OEM and the VAIS solutions, the only other alternative is an FM transmitter.

Get the vaistech one - I had it in my 06 GX and just moved it to my 09 RX (which was very nice being able to reuse it), it works awesome with my new nano and the RX does a few things the Lexus branded one doesn't do and the install is really easy in the RX - snap out the wood trim which is all just clipped in and 4 bolts get you to the back of the radio to plug it in - took me all of 30 minutes to put it in myself. There are good directions if you search the RX forum for vaistech install.
