Well, I posted last week that my wife went from Pittsburgh to Buffalo, with cruise control set at 60 mph, and got an indicated 30.3 mpg, with an actual and calculated 28.6. Not bad. Shed got about 1.5 mpg less on the return. Both of these figures were derived using gallons used by miles driven. The computer was slightly optimistic. Still pretty impressive though. We figure that the reduced speed cost her less than 15 minutes. On top of that, she never had to pass anyone.

Are you talking AWD or FWD? I assume there is a difference in gas mileage there. My wife gets around 19 city and about 24.5 freeway at 75 MPH in our 08 AWD 350.

I am going to take a 1000 mile trip and this will be the first test for my 08 AWD RX 350 on the road. I am going to set the cruise at 73 and will report back what I get. Freeway 500 miles to my destination and then back home the same way.

I used to get that kind of mileage prior to switching my tires to Bridgestone H/L Alenzas. My old set of tires were the Michelin.

What kind of tires do you have now?

Got back this afternoon. Used 91 octane and averaged 26 miles per gallon. I set cruise control at 73 and averaged close to this for the most part. I am very pleased with this milage. The computer and my math averaged out to be pretty identical. No more writing down miles traveled divided by gallons of gas pumped. Now if someone could do something about the price of gas
