Need to ship RX 1/2 way across the country--Suggestions?

We need to ship our vehicle. Does anyone have any suggestions for reliable, reasonable companies?

Just drive it. Much more fun and is still cheaper then shipping.

Honesty first auto transport or DAS. I recently got some quotes when I was shopping on e-bay for cars. There are many options, like open or closed trailer, door to door or terminal to terminal. They may even try to upsell you to be on the top of the auto carrier to avoid oil drips from the car above you.
X-country is in the $1K range.
