IS THERE ANY OTHER COLOR FOR A RETIRED FIRECHIEF?
Just filled up with fuel, 1st tank was 23.5 MPG FROM the vehicles computer reading. More then we expected, hope it only gets better.

Nice color, I hope you have a good one. Good luck and best wishes! Please post any issues you have as I have had 2 new RX350 in the past 7 months and have problems with both. (major ones with the 1st) The second one is just starting to act up. Do you have Goodyear tires or Michelins? Do you find the tires are loud at 65+ mph? Do you have wind and road noise at that speed?

Really have no issues of yet. Only have 450 miles so far.There are Michelons on it, 18". We just came back from a small trip today & remarked just how quite it is, not like our "04 at all.
What were your issues with your RX's??

If you want to know about the problems with the my 1st 2008 RX 350 just search by my screen name. There are to many to retype. I am now starting to have some issues with the second new RX350!, Smaller problems but still problems. Do you find that the car is loud inside compared to true luxury brands like Benz or BMW? I do. I added Dynamat extreme to the hatch floor, quarter panels and the inner and outer door panels (all 4 doors) it is better, but still not great. The body panels are very thin and the side door glass seems very, very thin compared to the German/Brit makes, I measured my Jag and Benz and the side door glass seems .125 -.187 thicker than the Lexus. Also what car did you have before the RX? Honda, Toymotor, Nissan, or German? It makes a difference as to ones perception of the RX.

Had a '04 RX & traded it in for our "09 RX so I do have something to compare with, apples to apples so to speak.
Never even thought of measuring glass thickness etc.
Guess I never drove in a Benz, Jag, or BMW but really don't think they compare the same as comparing apples to apples.
I did hear from others about the Jag though & the thought was "its a Ford".
The "09 RX is a great SUV for us, luxury with the safety we want plus I can haul stuff around for us and the kids. Love the Bluetooth feature too.

The Jaguar is much less a Ford than Lexus is a Toyota. You are correct the Lexus is near luxury vs Benz and BMW are true luxury. My 08 RX was $17K less than a ML350 or BMW X5. My wife likes the RX, I do not that is why I drive a BMW X5.
Do you find the 09 quieter than your 04?
Did you have any issues with the 04? (wind noise, rattles, leaks, etc. engine, transmission)
My uncle had a 02, 05 and has the twin to my 08 RX and says it is much quieter. He believes the 02 (Japan built) was the best built car he has ever owned.
I really like the red color. Mine is black and has no clear coat, so it shows every mark. I buff it often. I use Pinnacle souveran wax and it is great on black (RX) and red (Z3). It is a little pricey but the results are great. Try it and you will see the red color blaze and sparkle.
