Question What is this for?

What is this thing between the mirror and my Laser detector. I know its not the raid sensor as that is directly above the wiper.

I bought mine CPO so don't know if it is something that came with the car.

Thanks

that is definately not stock. does your car have aftermarket parking sensors? because that could be the speaker for it.

looks like its wired into the headliner. could be a bomb for all we know

Nope no parking sensors or nav. its 04 btw with te premium plus package the one everybody has. no nav or tv, etc.

My friends car had something like that for a after market alarm/keyless entry, but mine has the stock one. So your RX does not have this?

since this appears not to be stock I am also going to post in aftermarket. see if anyone knows their, but please keep posting if anyone knows

Can you see a name on it? Could be an aftermarket autostart or something like that. I would lean on something not factory. It's not installed or designed to fit like a factory part would.

Says PART NO: 11B1128
FCC ID: ELVNRCA

did a google and it came to: Code Alarm Replacement Antenna w/3-Pin Plug-In Cable

URL
http://autoalarmpro.com/inc/sdetail/3477

I found this other URL http://documents.audiovox.com/701129.pdf it is sometype of Audiovox

and I think its a remote starter. Does anyone know how I can find the exact model? And order a remote for it?
Whats this?

Does anyone know where the remote start system are usually installed so I can order a remote for it?

To me from the pic, it looks like a custom installation of an after market antenna for a navigation system. The prior owner may have figured maybe the next owner could use it, rather then go to the trouble ripping it out.

My RX has something that looks almost identical, and we had remote start installed by the dealer as well. I thought it was the forward-facing light sensor for the autodimming mirror, but since others (who presumably have both the auto mirror and auto headlights as well) don't have it, it must be the antenna for the remote start.
