Default new RX330 - navigation disc help!!!!

I just got a 2004 RX330 and love it. Only problem is, the navigation disc is way outdated, currently using version 2.1.

I changed out the disc easily on my SC430, but I can not find where the disc is inserted in the RX. I looked in the trunk and underneath the seats with no luck.

1. Can someone tell me where the disc is inserted/ejected?

2. Second, what disc do we need to get? I know the model numbers and generations can get confusing. Right now it has disc 2.1 in it.

3. Can ya'll suggest the cheapest place to get the disc? An online link would be GREAT! Thanks so much!

Head over to the Sewell Lexus website and they have directions (via a pdf file) on how to replace. 7.1 is the current version for your 04 RX330.

As for a link, I am not sure it gets much cheaper than what they offer, except for eBay, but you have to be careful you get the real thing on eBay.

look at the pdf in post #7 of this
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...hlight=nav+pdf may apply to you.

dvd v7 is the the latest. the generation of your system refers to the hardware in your car. I don't know what it is for your car. if you don't get an answer here, a quick call to your dealer/parts dept should solve that. no reason they won't tell you that.

the latest nav dvds typically go for about $240-$260. You can do better on Craig's list or ebay sometimes but it's already been pointed out you may be getting a copy and you need to be sure you get v7 for whatever gen of hardware you have.

hope it works out. here is someone who claims to be selling v7 for your car. i don't know if it's accurate or anything about the seller but passing on for reference. came up on an ad link on a CL page while i was clicking around. might still be worth a call to the dealer.

Version 8.1 should be available at the dealer in a month or two so I would wait. I'm getting an advance copy this month because I work for the company that makes the nav.
