Installing Chrome Door Handles on RX
#16
When you decide to do this, a DIY (or at least pictures) would be good, please. Can you take a few shots of the handles and post? We just want to see what they actually look like so we can imagine what we need to install. I have done my Acura and Honda handles, I am womdering if it is the same for Toyota-Lexus.

Rear Door Panel Help....
Well I thought I would take a few minutes to check out my rear doors so I can switch over to chrome handles this weekend.
I found 2 screws - one behind the chrome lever to open the door (had to pop off the cover) and one below the door arm (under the little carpet that comes out).
The entire bottom half just pulled off like most door panels but i couldn't get it off the lip where the window is. I even had the window down.
Usually at this stage the panel will just pop up off the door frame.
I didn't want to pull too hard in case I damaged it.
Anyone know if there is something else holding the panel on at the top or is it a matter of just really pulling hard
Thanks

there should be 2 alignment ***** on top of the panel on the inside. you have to flip up the panel about 60 degrees for these to ***** to slide out. the panel will not go up without these ***** being disengaged. it is kind of hard to explain. I will see if i can find a picture of this and post it later.
good luck

One puzzle after another.
I was able to remove the door panel. Nomi gave me the direction to find 4 "pins" that hold the top on.
Only problem is that I was expecting a access hole so that I can remove one screw and have the door assembly pop out.... not the case.
I'll have to keep researching to find out how to remove the door handle unless someone out there can give me some direction.
I think in a few days it may be going to the dealer to have it done but I don't want to give in that easily.

I haven't started trying to put mine in yet. I'm looking at doing it Friday, I will take pictures all the way through and go down and look for the part number if it's on there tomorrow.

Alright first pics here, I got mine from JZS International out of Japan as well. Great people to work with, very fast shipping, very helpful.
Here are the 8 items you get, and their coorisponding part numbers.
Not sure why the two rear parts have different part numbers?
This room is painted in a tan, so the handles look yellow but they're not.
Here's a shot of one of the Part Stickers
I'm going to try to get started on this tomorrow and see how it goes, I'm not looking foward to the back panel.

This might help you : https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=382071
I have to say I love my chrome handles. I think they add just a bit of something to the look. Spring time will bring led signal mirrors and different rims.
