I've got the same problem AGAIN! About 18 months ago they replaced a brake light switch part number FPN84340-0E020 and the problem went away for 18 months. Now I take it back and the goofy dealership "could not reproduce the problem". Well of course not! It's intermittent! How did they know to replace the switch the FIRST time? Man Lexus service has gone down hill. Guess I'll buy the switch and replace it myself this time.

ABS, Brake and trac lights cluster come on
I had the same problem. Stop light Switch assembly fixed the problem. Part# 84340-47020. Took about 25 min minutes to replace. Easier if you remove the bottom of the dash under the steering column and remove the airbag bracket. Just be careful with the airbag bracket. Sounds tough but it is really simple to do. Take note on the adjustment nut so that you can match it up on the new one.
Hope this helps to avoid the $300+ bill and fix it for $84+/-

my problem.....the lights only come on when wife is driving and NEVER when i am driving. Has been happening for about a year now (total of 8 times). I think it is the brake/stop light assembly as well but i just ask her to pull over, put the car in Park, turn off engine, wait 1 minute, turn it on and drive on.
Should i be more concerned with this problem as it only seems like an annoyance rather than an accident waiting to happen?
