I have a 2004 RX330, and my sunroof rattles so bad. It stops for about 10 mins if you just give a little bump to the glass part. Im just curious if anyone else has had this problem and what Lexus did to fix it?
Thanks a bunch!

My sunroof also rattles on my 05 RX. I figured out that the bar towards the front that flips up when you open the sunroof was rattling on the frame for the glass. I took it into the dealer and had a tech listen to it as well and it was fixed under warranty. If you still have warranty left on your car, take it in and have a tech listen to it.

I had mine fixed under warranty and the noise was gone. A year later....the rattle came back again! ![Thumb Down](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsdown.gif)
Going to bring it back to the dealer again and asked them to make the noise go permanently!!!!!!!!!!!

Having the same problem myself. Been in twice already. First time "fixed" but not fixed (lasted three days). Second time "fixed by use of spot weld". Gone for about a month, but it's coming back again. Very annoying. Just found a Technical Service Informatin Bulletin - January 23, 2008 - NV001-08 "Knocking noise from front of sliding roof". This is listed for 07-08 RX350. I'll be making an appointment soon for them to "fix" this again!

I have a 2004 RX330, which has a rattle in the rear right side of the sunroof. It comes and goes, and makes me crazy. The dealer(s) say they never heard of it, and it would cost the hourly rate to find the problem. Anyone have any definite ideas? It only rattles when the roof window is closed and the inside roof visor is open. Thanks!

Lexus seems aware of this problem, as I took mine in about seven months ago for this issue and the parts required to fix were on back order. About a month later the parts came in and the problem has since been resolved.

Thanks for your comments. We have had our SUV in, and they said it was a loose plastic part in the light behind the roof. It seemed to be fixed, but in time the noise returned. Ours is in the right, or passenger side, rear, of the sunroof. If any of you who report it being fixed know what the problem was, please let us know. This is not fun! Thanks!

There has to be a relatively simple solution - I find that after I fool with it a while the noise stops and doesn't return for a day or two.
