Heh, I agree. . .I really like my RX400h. . .but it's such a mommy car. I'm still young so I think I need something sleeker, faster, and sportier. When I have kids, I might get the RX again. . .or I'll get a Range Rover. Then when all the kids grow up. . .LS460L here I commmeee

Depends on options. Here, a RX400h only comes with nav and everything. A FWD is about $49K, an AWD is about $50K. If you told me $41K, I would shake your hand and wish you a pleasant day.

put a deposit down on an 2008 Matador Red RX400h today... it's looking like the price will be just a hair above invoice but will know more on Monday once I factor everything in... looking forward to it!

On the 08's they changed the emblems, its now the same as the GSh and the LSh. They also changed the headlights and taillights, they now have a tint of blue, but really. You couldn't tell if you didn't know it was a tint of blue, and its more of a green. Then door stills are blue now, i believe. Our 07 has orange.

Looking into a CPO 2008 RX400H at local Lexus dealer with 4K for only $38K. Vehicle was supposedly a "trade-in" that the owner traded in for another Lexus. It's virtually new and just negotiating on my trade-in of RX300 now.

400h's are going to get more expensive, because supply is going to dry up. They will quit making them in a month or two, just finish out the current build. After that, the 2010 RX will not be available in hybrid form for almost a year.
Say hello to sticker in a few months on 400h's.

I think it's great to have some inside information from Kalvano, but he can get carried away. I just purchased a new AWD RX400H with a sticker price of 50,947 and I paid 39,216...say goodbye to sticker.

That was also before Lexus decided to drop quite a chunk of change in dealer cash on remaining RX's.
We actually sold quite a few very close to sticker in late December / early January, since there were very few out there.
Also, dealers in Florida right now might very well pay you to take a car, Texas is much better off.
We are all out of them now, anyway. Have been for a while.

Newbie to a new Hybrid as well. After 8 years of owning and loving a Rx300, my wife and I decided it was time for a new one. We stopped by our local Lexus dealer a couple of times last year to "just look", but basically weren't happy with any offers. Some "little" things were starting to act up on the RX300, and around the same time (about a month ago) we received a letter from a sales rep from Lexus saying stop in because they had great deals going on with the new Dealer Cash-Back program that Lexus was offering dealers, mainly to get rid of the old cars before the new ones came in.
So we stopped in, and the "Sales Manager" came out and said the best he could do was $7100 off sticker. I thought to myself, "Hmmm....that's not even close to what the letter offered, which was $8100". So I said that I got a letter saying it was more than that, and he said well if you buy the Hybrid it would be more. So taking both of his statements to heart, I then pulled out the letter stating $8100 on a RX350, and then said "how much more for a hybrid?" Then he got a little nervous and realized I had him, so he went back to the office and came out with a price of $8600 off, so I basically took it.
Then....we're signing all the papers and it comes to my attention that the Hybrid is a 2008, when it was NEVER mentioned and all along we had been looking at various 2009 350's etc., so I threatened to back out because it's officially a 2008...which means whenever I trade it in or sell it, it's STILL a 2008 (when the 2010's were coming out in a week), making it a year older than I was thinking. I don't buy the crap that just because no 2009's were made that it's all the same - it's still a year older! So he took another $400 off and threw in the iPod adapter ($600 value) to seal the deal.
Bottom line, I got $9000 off sticker, so I was happy. If anyone is "just looking" right now, it's a great time to buy!
So now I'll be perusing these forums to learn more about the Hybrid. So far so good. We love the car but have to learn all the quirky differences and advancements in the car. But we love it!

Up here in New England the stealerships are offering the 08 400H AWD for $39-$41K without haggling. When I went to my local stealership they had over 100 400H's in stock so I offered them $33K. Obviously, they are not going for it......YET!!! I’m in no rush, so I just keep checking with their internet sales rep every week. There is no way they can move that many 400's before the 450's get here.
