New RX400h - Purchased at invoice cost
I didn't see a pricing thread, so I decided to make a new post. My friend just bought a new RX400h at invoice cost in Northern Virginia. Very little negotiation. Dealer asked for $1000 over invoice, my friend countered with "invoice" and they accepted provided she purchase the car before the end of the month (September).
Hopefully this data point helps out any new buyers.

I just purchased a 2008 rx400h last week. I got $3800 off sticker - not sure if that's a good deal or not, but my salesman wouldn't budge from that price - he said demand in my area is high and he couldn't go any lower. I'm in
Atlanta where we and other parts of the southeast experienced a major gas shortage a few weeks ago. So maybe that is where prices are in my market. I really wanted the car and wasn't going to walk away from the deal. I was originally debating between the 400h and the 350 - the price I was offered on the 350 was far more discounted than the 400h.

400h's are going to get more expensive, because supply is going to dry up. They will quit making them in a month or two, just finish out the current build. After that, the 2010 RX will not be available in hybrid form for almost a year.
Say hello to sticker in a few months on 400h's.

No difference between 07 and 08. Or between 06, 07, and 08.

My rx does not have the mark levinson package. I wanted that along with AWD, but when we started looking into getting this car, there were no 400h's within 1000 miles of us according to the dealer's search that had ML and/or AWD. But since the current style is going out of production, I decided I could live without those options rather than risk not liking the new rx. Also didn't want to wait any longer to get a hybrid!
