Daylight Savings
Has any one ever had the Daylight savings on the RX not update? Yesterday I had change the clock to manual. So I could set the time. When I had it in Auto Adjust. Its an hour fast.

We had to adjust manually for both our RX and GS even tho 'auto adjust' was set to on. At first I thought it was related to the fact that a year or so ago the start and stop week of DST was changed since I think most 'auto adjust' preprogrammed devices are tied to a specific sunday on the calendar for the change which is now not accurate. But i think that would cause it to auto adjust off of DST too soon, not too late. Regardless, we had to adjust manually.

did you not catch the "daylight savings" on or off button also in the clock menu? even though its auto adjust, you have to click daylight savings off in yesterdays case.
this is people states like arizona ignore daylight savings, so they dont need to make the cars auto adjust to it

I also had to manually update the clock by turn on the DST option in the info section of the navigation module. Not a big deal, but certainly would have been great if auto update worked.

My expectations based solely on intuition about how those buttons were labeled. I apparently was off the mark.

ok not a hardship but i was thinking it was going to be auto magic.
And how old does a car have to be to still be a Datsun? I think that I can remember that badge name means I'm getting pretty old.

Have had the car since new. Only comes out on nice days. Not too hot, not too cold. Stays in the garage covered otherwise with its Porsche cousin.
The RX is my daily driver and is the "beater." Poor thing needs and deserves a good detail. Now that the weather is cooling it will soon be time to get the buffer out.

Would have to see the Jeep. When growing up I had an old Chevy with the vinyl roof peeled off. Still, even in the cold PA winters I would regularly wash the car and vacuum the interior. My Lexus has not seen even that much attention of late. Nothing wrong with it, just dirty on the outside and dusty inside.
Each of us in this forum have purchased their RX(s) for different reasons. I bought mine for the long term. Am more likely to be wearing jeans and working when driving it as opposed to a suit and out for the evening. It goes where I go and therefore has the dings others would not accumulate as they pamper their RX's.
Got the premium package with 18" wheels. Did not want navi. Like to keep things simple. Did not want to have to "program" my vehicle. Changing the clock on a non-navi RX is quite simple compared to the navi editions. Or, so it seems. Are the menus and submenus all set correct?
Call me a relic, but I believe all these electronics and doing things for you have taken the soul out of driving and the vehicles themselves.
