I did notice that the tire made a huge difference. When I got a rx330 as a loaner, i noticed it was bounced more during normal driving. I then check the tires, it was Bridgestone Alenza tire. On my own rx330, I have Micheline and it did not feel the same at all.

I have the Bridgestone Alenza's (18") on my 04 RX and it is not bouncy at all. I think it is something else. The loaner I drove had 17" Michelins and it was bobbing up and down like mad.

Did you ever figure out the bounciness when you brought it in the shop? I just bought a 2008 RX 350 with 45,000 miles on it. I drove it for 3 miles and thought I was going to throw up when I got out. It floats like I was on a boat or as you describe bounces down the road as if it's floating. I need the car to ride more sporty and not float or bounce down the road. Do you have any suggestions?

That's the way I felt in every third gen RX. It feels so bouncy that I chose not to buy one. I see the 2012 and 2013 are much improved. I hate that bouncy feel.

Sounds like what I had, which was worn struts. Do the bounce test. Firmly push down the front of your car and it should bounce Only once and stop, same for the rear. Mine bounced 3x. I had them replaced with kyb performance struts.

How many miles have you had for the RX? My 08 has about 69K miles and are firmware firm in riding.

Benny49 posted the question in November 2008, took it to the dealer and never did post back what they found. Most likely he fainted when the dealership told him new struts and the cost to repair.

For anyone finding this thread years later, you can determine if you struts are leaking pretty easily... the inside of the tire with the leaking strut will be darker than the others. Your tires should have a dirty dry look to them. No oils, no deep black shiny looking coating. Just dry dusty rubber. You can see from my attachments, the leaky one has the word "GoodYear" at the bottom, and it's shiny.

Not sure why it's upside down.
