We purchased a 2009 RX350 last week at $2500 under invoice. There was virtually no negotiation involved, they just simply offered us the vehicle at that price and we took it.

If you check Edmunds.com, as every smart car buyer should IMO, you will find that Lexus has a $2,500 cash rebate to dealers through 01/05/09. It appears that Lexus is also offering some very low interest financing but it appears Lexus gives the dealers a choice of the rebate or low interest financing, but not both. The dealer offered to finance the vehicle for us (through Lexus) at just under 4% with what appeared to be no BS terms and conditions.

Get yourself to the page with the red box that states "Price with Options". Just above it you will see in blue text "See Also: Incentives | Insurance | Free Credit Report | Financing". Click on Incentives.

The Lexus finance rate is 2.9. The dealer hit you for another point. One dealer tried to do the same to me. Still a good deal though...

My dealer didn't want to tell me what the lease finance rate was, nor the residual etc. I assumed they made more profit off the lease than a buy. I did a buy.

On a new 09 RX350 about two months ago, I was quoted $42.7K on their first pencil. No idea how close they were to their pain point at that price, since I didn't want it. IIRC, they mentioned that the price included $1K cash back from Lexus. Either they were holding $1.5K back or Lexus has upped their cash back to $2.5K now.
