Default New 0.9% financing for RX - What is a good price?

I saw that Lexus is now offering 0.9% APR on their 2009 RX 350's and 400H's. I contacted a local dealer and he told me that MSRP is around $47,000 if I want a RX350 with nav, which seemed ridicoulously high. Anyone know of good out the door prices dealers are offering lately for both AWD 350's and 400H's with Nav that I could use to bargain?

Nav is a ridiculously high option. Look up KBB or Edmunds for some invoice prices. Take the MSRP and knock off $5k - 6k, or more.

Where do you get $5K - $6K?

We've got about $4200 of mark-up in a nav RX (which an AWD with nav should be around $45,500).

So is that for a RX 350? So I should be thinking about around $41k for a nav RX 350 as a good deal?

Other issue I hopefully would like to take care of with purchasing a RX would be to return my GS 430 which is leased and has about 9 months left, if they let me do that with no penalty that would be awesome.

I was looking at fleetrates and saw a nav RX350 for only around $41k: http://www.fleetrates.com/specials_v...e13ce3d4158732

I am thinking that that is a great price, what do you all think? Only prob is that I am going to have to get a dealer to get me around that price...

You can trade it in, but I bet you'll be upside down on a GS 430. You'll have to make it up if you are.

That's invoice, basically. I'm sure in California, you'll find a dealership dumb enough to do that.

Also, you are aware the 0.9% is only for 36 months, right?

Yes, 0.9 for 36 months, 1.9 for 48 and 2.9 for 60.

From the research I am doing and the prices I am seeing online for brand new RX 350's with nav, and the dire straits the economy is in I think I can get a good price at around $40k to $41k. Anyone else confer with that?

Like I said, California car market is nuts. They're all a bunch of *****s.

$41K on a nav RX 350 should be easy. Be more worried about the possible negative equity on your GS.

By the way, the 1.9% and 2.9% are buy rates for the dealership. You may have a hell of fight actually getting those.

In NY two dealers on Long Island were around $41,550 (Navigation, Premium Plus, towing prep, wheel locks) that is the best I got after trying to get dealer #2 to do better than dealer #1. I believe I got a more than fair trade in value ($700 more than expected). To get the premium financing 36 mos 0.9%, 48 mos 1.9% or 60 mos 2.9% you need a 730+ FICO (as per notice stamped on the application).

Wow great deal, I think I am going to get a few quotes and take that info to the dealer, and try to get a similar deal. Did they have any down payment requirements?

I hope the economy is bad enough that they will also take back my lease GS430 with no penalty... we will see what happens...
