from my experience its the rotors, when through 3 sets of rotors on my maxima since 02. every time it was about to go bad, it would vibrate when braking. which rotors do you consider good aftermarkets.

When was the last time you had your brake fluid changed out? Also, the rear rotors can also get worn down over time and have some warpage.

When you say you replaced the front rotors and pads with brand new very good quality parts, I assume you mean they are after market performance barkes. That would be the 1st place I would look, otherwise, vibration when braking usually mean warp rotors.

Most likely warped rotor.

I had a vibration that went away after having the tires rebalanced. It was a vibration that increased or was at least more noticeable during braking. If your rotors are new, I wouldn't expect them to be warped, so I would lean towards making sure the tires were still properly balanced. My tires went out of balance over time, even though there was no apparent alignment problem, or tire wear issues.

I have heard of the RX having a history of rotor wear problems though. IMHO I would stick to premium aftermarket brands, rather than going with stock rotors.

if you feel the vibration in the steering wheel at higher speeds, and not pressing on the brakes, then its a wheel balance. otherwise its the rotors.

yeah...mine vibrates at high speed braking only; problem went away for a bit after balancing the tire.

Default Wheel Bearing?

If not the rotors or wheel balance, could be a wheel bearing. Just had mine go out at 67k. Was also accompanied by a loud creaking when stepping on the brake.
