Adaptive HID
For 09 model, adaptive HID headlight is an optional item. Is it worth while to pay an extra 550 for this AFS feature ? Thanks in advance of your advice.

I would pass if it's an option, especially at $550. I only notice my lights move when I'm driving through my neighborhood at 25 mph. I don't see (pun intended) the real value that it brings as opposed to stationary lights.

If there's going to be the same HIDs on it, regardless of AFS, I'd say save the money for something else. But if that $550 is the difference between halogen and HIDs, then go for it.
I don't find AFS as useful as I woulda hoped so, maybe when driving on very dark streets or highways, or going through woods and countryside, but for urban/suburban driving, it's not that useful.

it was packaged into my car when i got it in 2004.
however, back in 2004, this was like a cool new feature that (to my knowledge), not any other car in its class had, or even in lexus cars. i think the RX was first. anywhoo, to be honest, it doesnt help illuminate the road anymore than regular HIDs, but it definately is worth $550 for cool factor
