Not everyone likes the wet look but I've been very pleased with the results.

Consumer Reports did a test about a year ago. Black Magic got very high results for gloss and durablity and was rated a best buy over several more pretigious brands inlcluding Griots. Clay bar first though before waxing.

About every couple of months, I take my car to the local car wash. Whatever sprays out during the wash is good enough for me. I haven't hand waxed a car in 30 years...why start now? Every couple of years, I take mine to the local "Fast Food Car Wash" and get a $150 detail job. I am just not one to devote 3-4 hours of my precious weekend time to cleaning a car that will just be dirty again in 2 days.
