Greetings,
After browsing this forum for a very long time, I finally took the plunge and bought a 2009 RX 350. My question is, has anyone installed a Lexus IPOD adapter? Is it easy enough for someone that is tech savy to install themselves? I have a hard time paying the $695 that the dealer wants to charge to put it in. Also, is there any place online to order it from? Or is the dealers the only place to pick one up?
Thanks!

I am using the cassette adapter for my XM radio, and the sound quality is great. See if the $10 cassette adapter has the same plug as the I-Pod output socket.

if you decide to get the Lexus adapter, beware if you have sat radio. at least the early release wasn't compatible with sat. you can also get an adapter from Vaistech or Scosche. Both have web sites and there are numerous threads about installing various adapters on the RX. Which ever one you choose, it can be done yourself if you are motivated. otherwise pay an installer.
