Gear Slippage on 2008 RX350?
We have 2008 RX350(13900 miles) and it feels like there is gear slippage when its on slow speed.
Before we stop the vehicle, the vehicle is moving about 5mph and when we step on the acceleration to move over bump on the load, there is slight hesitation on gear for about 2-3 second and RPM goes upto 1500-2200RPM before actual movement of vehicle/gear kicks in.
Has anyone else had similar problem with 2008 model?

I've had the same problem with my 2008 RX-350 since day one. Just talked to the dealer for the 3rd time yesterday. Still no fix or TSB on it. He doesn't even know if Lexus is working on it.
This is a common issue with many new cars across the industry. Lexus refers to the problem as transmission hunting, rather than slipping. I've been told that it is not a transmission defect but is instead related to the complexities of the "Drive by Wire" technology being used.

Thanks The G man and Tom H.
I'll try to bring the vehicle to the dealer sometime this month.
Mean while, if anyone finds out what's going on with this issue, I'd really appreciate it.
Happy New Years to everybody.
