Default Im a noob.. have a tire question

My parents RX has these stock tires on:
225/65R17 101S

Will these tires be acceptable?
Kumho Solus KH16
225/65R17 100T

I know that the tire size match up fine, but im worried about the 100T compared to the stock 101S. Ill be switching out all four tires btw.

Thanks.

The 3 digit number and the letter at the end is the load index and the speed rating. Since your new tire have a higher load index and a higher speed rating, you should be fine.

It has a lower load index.. unless lower numbers mean higher loads.

Is the 100 fine?

Load value is not enough of a difference to be noteworthy.

Speed ratings and load ratings info can be found at:

the difference between 100 and 101 rating isn't enough to worry about on your Rx unless you plan to haul coal or something in the hatch!
you'll like those kumho's; very smooth, nice tire.
