I have been having problems with the Climate Auto control.
When I press climate auto control, the AC green light always goes on, I used to press it to turn it off, but from a post on the thread I realize it doesn't turn AC off, and now I know why I steel feel the cold breeze blowing at times, on highway trips in the winter with temperature set at 70 you still can freeze your feet when the AC kicks in during heating pauses.
The only override I have found was to set it to high, which makes it hot very fast and needs to be shut down within minutes, on a long winter trip, not the best of solutions.
Is there a way to reset auto not to start the AC during heating pauses?

On my 09RX350, the A/C is de-activated when I press the A/C button to turn it off. No doubt whatsoever. Maybe you are using 'front defog/defrost' which uses A/c to cool down the air (to extract humidity) and then re-heats it (to make it drier), and thus defogs quicker?
