Default A Few Questions With My New 09 Pebble Beach

I just bought the 09 Pebble Beach edition and very hapy with it. I do have a few questions though:

1. It seems like the sensitivity of the light sensor is not as I want it to be, the last few days it didn't turn off the light even though the sun was up (7:30am). I had to turn off manually and turn it back to AUTO a few times. I'd like to know if any of you did the personalize for light sensor and what setting did you do? If I want it to turn off the light a little bit sooner, what setting do I use (normal is default)

2. Did you do the liftgate personalize as well? The default is to open the gate without assist if open the liftgate without using the remote or the inside button. Any downside if I choose to have it power if I open manually?

More to come as I only have the car for a few weeks...

Thanks

I have a Pebble Beach 09 also, but I believe these customizable settings are for all 09 RX 350s. Look in your owner's manual on page 447 for what can be done. These must be done at the Lexus dealer. I think I just had my rear door beep for more than the 2 beeps when it opens/closes. I remember doing something about the headlights but I cannot remember what.

When I bought the RX the salesman gave me a brochure that had all the customizable settings. He told me to look through it and check mark the ones I wanted. I thought I had a blank one somewhere but I must have lost it.

You can also check this other site for info others have regarding this topic: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx3...-settings.html

You can download the customizable settings for the 2009 RX 350 here: http://www.lexus.com/pdf/service/RX350_LPS.pdf

I use my key fob to open/close the liftgate. By the way if you want to disable this feature, there is a button in the glove box to turn it off. If you have small children I would suggest disabling this feature.

I made sure the salesman showed all of the features to my wife before I let her drive it home. So far I like all the settings she chose, I think the only thing non-standard is the doors not unlocking whenever shifting back to park (which i agree if driver is female). I don't know how she set the light sensors though, I drove it yesterday but not till 10am so they didn't come on. Anyone do the NAV tool mod on the Pebble Beach yet or remote start?

Thanks for your quick reply. I need to look into those customized options. I just don't know if anyone has changed those and what is the feedback.
