hey everyone i was wondering how do i remove the navi dvd and where is the navi dvd slot located thanx..trying tohelp my friend switchhis to a updated version

on the 08 and 09s at least, the navi reader is under the rear cargo floor. pull out the spare tire tool tray and it's right in the open. there is an eject button. just insert the new one. I think in earlier RX models it was in different places. there is a chart/pdf in an old thread somewhere. The specific answer may depend on the year/model.

Actually, for a 2008/2009 it is not necessary to pull out the tool tray to simply remove or replace the DVD. Open the lid exposing the tray. On the right side is a black rectangular plastic cover a little larger than the front of a standard DVD player. Simply remove the cover (no tools needed - it snaps out from the top) and there is the front of the DVD player. Slide the release (at the upper left facing the front of it) toward the front of the car and the DVD will pop right out. Make sure you slide it back toward the rear after the DVD is reinserted.
