On the RX, I have had bad luck with Trico, Rainx, and the so called "teflon" blades. Streak really bad.

Had very good luck with plain old Anco's.

Oh, and save the lexus blade holders somewhere if you ever want to go back to them. The dealer will hit you for over $100 to replace the blades if you loose the holders.

I've gotten really good life from the factory Lexus (Toyota) blades. I'll buy them again.

I assume by blade you are talking about just the insert? I got more than 2 1/2 years from my OEM ones. As **** as I am about clean, streak free, windows, I was surprised. My Anco's are garbage and need to be replaced after less than a year. Off to an on-line vendor who supports this forum.

Don't make the mistake of assuming that the arms, or blade holder, are bad. For instance, the original arms on my 16 year old Acura are still good. The original ones on my 38 year old Corvette are still good (of course, it hasn't broken 40000 miles yet ).

Bosch ION.
I have my second set on both Lexus cars now, and they are the best I have ever had, and last longer than anything else I have ever had (about one year). They are a relatively new and separate line from Bosch, and they cost more than others, but are well worth it. They look good, too.
Highly recommended.

Yes, I am talking about the insert. How about Michelin? Does anybody use it?

Never tired the Michelins but I can give a +1 to Grumpa's 2.5 year life of the OEM replacements. I get 2.5 years from them as well and my RX is a daily driver that is garaged nights. I do clay the glass about every 3 months. I think this makes the inserts last longer and wipe streak free.

I vouch for the Icons, too. I've had mine on for about 30,000 miles now. They've just begun to streak. I'll be picking up another set soon. Try 'em.

I've seen the Icons heavily advertised but not in person. Obviously, you need a new complete arm. Does it snap into position just like the OEM style? No modifications or anything?

"Are you talking about Bosch ICON?"
Yes, thanks for the correction. I always keep a set on my Saturn Ion, and I get confused easily.

The original wiper frame (the frame that holds the wiper insert) will have to be removed, but the Icon wiper assembly snaps right in with very little fuss. The only learning curve that really exists is that to remove the OEM assembly.
