Front end noise caused by tires?
My 05 RX330 started knocking at 50+mph in October 08 (sounds like it's coming from the front end). The dealership said I needed new tires, the current tires at that time had about 15K and were new in May07. Has anyone else heard of this? I've been driving a long time and have never had this problem before. Any replies would be helpful so I can decide if I stop the noise with new tires or go back to the dealership. Thanks!

Tires do play a role in vehicle noise. But knocking as in those bumps on the highways? Or knocking as in someone knocking a door? Once I had my hand brake on and it started knocking at 30 mph and I didn't even notice it good thing I didn't seriously screw my vehicle up.

what brand of tire do you have? I've heard the Goodyear's tread runs out quick and noisy on the road. Maybe check your tires for nails, I've had a nail in my tire and that sounded like what you are describing.
