Got to admit the service by Lexus is "unbeatable" ... even when one is not so favorable about the product.

Seriously, he said most of the major issues he sees are due to people not changing the oil properly. I cannot help but think the number of leases contributes too. I am sure the state of our economy will not help this problem any.

Thought this was about you & your door problem. ??
Have used synthetics since 1979 & have put on lots of miles & have NEVER had a engine problem. You can use any API approved lube & no dealer can say you have to use a certain brand they only tell when it has to be changed & its viscosity rating.
So when I use synthetic with the proper ratings & change it according to Lexus specs there is no warranty issues.
Say, did he ever tell u why your door opened?
