I tried this the other night and ended breaking the cover. The yellow clip didnt want to come out. So the plastic slot that it slides into on the cover just cracked.

Replacement for 1 piece (passenger rear), at my friends COST from Lexus, was $64!!!

Sorry to hear that. Looks like these were not designed to be taken out...

On the RX350 you can remove the entire rack. And install the long spacers that come with the panaorama sunroof. Looks much nicer. Sold the roof rack for almost 2 car payments.
Can you please take a picture of the roof, for us to see what they look like? How they were sealed? Thanks.

I have an 04 RX330 and would like to take the whole rack off. Does anyone know how many holes would be left if you removed it? I was thinking about front license plate bumper plugs to cover the holes.

On the RX350 are there no holes when the rack is removed?

There was a post around here, I am sure you can find it. It will tell you exactly what to do and how many holes to plug. Keep in mind you have to seal for leaks...you will have to use silicone sealant.

I just bought one OEM rubber strip, cut it up, and plugged in the holes.

Default Roof Racks

You can buy the small pieces of channel. And plug up the 4 holes from the roof rack. That would be cheaper.

Some RX350 models had a panoramic sunroof. Which was alot larger than the regular one. There is no roof rack on these models. So Lexus had a long piece of hard plastic that fits in the channel. You need to buy two of them. One left and one right. Its been awhile but it seems like I paid 75.00 dollars each from the dealer. Took 5 minutes to install.

Default Next Mod

Im thinking about getting the spoiler painted next.

Also has anyone ever swapped out the FM GPS antenna? I would like to get swap it out with the new style shark fin. But for now I just removed the long part of the antenna. Everything still works fine.

i would love a writeup on removing the entire rack; do you have to drop the headliner or can it be removed totally from the outside?
