Default Extended Warranty Cost

We just took delivery on a new RX 400h and want to buy a Lexus-backed extended warranty as we keep our vehicles for a long time. We are interested in the 7 year Platinum plan with both the 75k and 100k mile options. Have been quoted $1840 for 75K miles and $2600 for the 100k miles option. Does anybody have any pricing info they would share? Are we correct in thinking that we could buy the plan thru any Lexus dealer and still have it honored by the dealer from whom we purchased? If so, is there a dealer out there who might give better pricing? TIA

I think one of our approved CL vendors is now offering the extended warranty, lower than traditional sources, but the same coverage. Sewell Lexus? Check around. Good luck.

Does not matter where you get your Lexus extended warranty...you will get the same card from Lexus. I have mine = peace of mind.

The dealer cost for the Platinum, 7yr, 100k, $0. deductible extended warranty (if purchased during the warranty period of the car - <50k miles) is $1515. This is for the RX350 & RX400h - other cars are different.

I don't know that one.

I only know the 100k because the dealer bought it for me after they worked on my car for the white dust issue. And since they paid for it, I'm assuming the price listed on the paperwork was their cost.

Long story. But basically they didn't clean the ducts after replacing the part so it had to go in a second time to get the ducts cleaned. They did some damage to the interior - which they did fix - but took 3 months to get it right. For my inconvenience they gave me some money and the extended warranty or a buy-back. Still liked the car so I took the money and warranty.

Please keep in mind that your not really purchasing a 7 year warranty.
You get 4 years automatically with the new Lexus, so you're just getting 3 additional years.
You very well may be aware of this, but I don't care for their marketing when they keep saying 7 years for only a cost of $$$$ .
