Default Air suspension swap to standard Springs?

I am looking at an RX with about 45000 miles. Are their any issues with the Air Suspension failing early? I know they are about 900.00 a corner to replace the units. I am very much a backyard mechanic, OK, I am a gearhead. I have done many strut and performance spring changes. I would imagine that you could get the strut units and springs of choice and just yank the air suspension out? I have done a search and did not find anyone that has done this but I did see where there are kits to convert to the aftermarket air bag type from the standard OEM spring type. So why couldn't you go the other way? There maybe different mounts or pieces I may have to buy for the top mount possibly but I am sure I could get something like that are a bone yard or a dealer. I would highly doubt they would have changed the chassis for different suspension pieces but with Lexus you never know?

you can swap out to regular setup. just do what your thinking, its right. take out all the airs part and just put in for ex, kybgr2 shocks/eibach springs. put all the air lines aside or cover the holes once taken out.

You can always vary your settings with your air. But if you really want it out, should not be complicated. Yes, it is rare that people take them out.
