Cool cassette player problems

I own an '05 RX330 and my tape player is broken. I removed my mp3 adapter tape an heard a click. Now when I try to insert the tape it goes in but not all the way down and then rejects the tape. Is this an easy fix or expensive at the dealer? thank you

Unless it is some thing simple like a stuck part, the dealer will only opt to replace the unit. They do not have the know how to fix the unit. You can do lot better to buy a used one on your own.

My mom's 05 RX330's tape player broke twice - and both times replaced under warranty. Both times it would randomly eject tapes ... Even the dealer said it was acting funky...

+1 on this suggestion, unless under warranty this could be very expensive at the dealer. You might try going to an auto sound shop and have one of their techs take a quick look at it . Good Luck

The level of expense depends on how many cassette tapes you have. If you have a lot, then it'll be expensive b/c you have to buy that many more CDs. If you only have a few, then you're in luck.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. I like the idea about going to an audio shop and letting one of their people look at it. Lexus is just going to replace the thing, for who knows how many thousands of dollars.

He is using it as an Aux-in.

Instead of fixing the tape player, it might be easier, better and cheaper to rig-up the AUx-in
