Fuel Filter Replacement: RX330
Bought an '05 with 65k.
Salvage title. Sugar was poured into the gas tank.
The tank was dropped and cleaned and the filler neck cleaned.
Now, the car turns over and won't start.
The fuel sender is out too--regardless of gas level, the gauge shows empty.
Lexus wants $1050 for a new pump and sender.
Can I use a used pump/sender? I can get one for $100, but it has been dry for a while. I thought these pumps need to stay wet.
I think the fuel filter needs replacment. Where is the filter, and how hard is it to replace?

most newer ehicles do not have your traditional fuel filter, instead they have a "sock" on the fuel pump itself inside the fuel tank to filter anything out,
and i beleive that on mythbusters that cracked the myth about sugar in the gas tank, if i remember correctly, sugar did nothing
