Thats what I said. The factory HID's are the way to go. In other words, if the vehicle did not come with HID's from the factory, don't waste time trying to get an aftermarket kit to work. They do make aftermarket kits complete with ballasts, lamps, and wiring. The issue is projector vs reflector, so as you said, the lenses would probably need to be switched out..

Thank you for all of the comments!

I am aware that'd I'd obviously have to change out the Housings to the Projector style. Those can be found on the internet. I don't care about the auto adjusting/leveling that comes stock on the RX.

Sounds like I won't get the Nav, but will get the TC Grille.

Thought I would share this link from right under our noses..

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/clu...h-more-18.html

The vendor seems to be really good at answering posts..

I'm going to see if I can outfit my Roush with a set of HID's..

Personally I like HIDextra.com's product a bit better, it's more simple and cheaper $60 + $16 relay harness. Whole sale for 35watt hid bulb are $3 each.

if you want tC grille, you better hurry up, prices are going up, I got mine 2 months ago it was $308, now closer to $350 range and harder to find too
as for HID if you don't care for AFS, have you thought of HID retrofit ?

see my link below for previous quad projector retrofit I once owned

You may not care about the auto leveling, but all the other oncoming drivers on the road do. If your'e really that cheap that you think you are going to save money by purchasing OEM HID projectors for $2500 each and install them after you purchase the car, then you should be looking at a Hyundai, not a Lexus. It just doesn't make any sense. Its a lot cheaper to purchase them already on the car. The cost difference between a used RX with HID and one without is minimal to none, especially if you can negotiate.

I didn't do the retrofit but my friend and professional retrofitter littodevil did all this. Yes you are correct, it's a work of art, an unique one of a kind headlights
that no one has. Littodevil is working on my RX retrofit too, it will be pretty sick when it's done.

Ouch, that was mean...Hyundai?!?!

I already told you, the 2 vehicles I have to choose from are both Halogens. A family member has 2 of them and is selling me one since he will be getting a new one.

As long as you properly aim them your fine.

I have a Lexus ES300 with HID's and they are aimed properly, I don't need auto leveling!

But honestly, I'm not cheap lol

Whoa! Hyundai cheap? Keep in mind Japanese cars were "cheap" once and see where they are now.
