Yes and yes
The noise are certainly the bearing. I changes both in my rx330 2004 a week a go. Maybe the lexus at $ 40k are more a toyota from ontario/canada than a lexus for Japan
Look your serial number. If it start with: 2 it made in ontario. If you have a J, it made in Japan. Maybe the same wheel bearing ...and same problem.

i have had this car since new. It is an '04 and always been really noisy. I was told it was tire noise. After reading the post on this sight I put on Bridgestone Alenza's....NO HELP AT ALL. Still makes alot of noise. Sounds like rear wheel bearings. Have had to shop numerous times and NO HELP. Any ideas what be helpful. THANKS

After you fix the major problem with noise, you can go a step further to reduce road noise. See this thread:

Hi,
I have an 09 IS 250 and I have noticed that when the sunroof is open and I am on the highway, the wind makes the dashboard vibrate a ton and there is a low humming noise. Does anyone have any suggestions short of keeping the sunroof closed? Thanks
Chrystal

Harmonic pressure wave...
Close the sunroof partially. Should go away.

I had this occur on my 04 she it was new. It sounded like a helicopter was hovering right over the car. Turns out the sunroof needed to be initialized. I was opening it by holding the button until it opened all the way. The auto open function leaves it a half an inch from wide open and that stopped the thumping.

Hi I'm having the same road noise problem coming from the rear of my 04' Rx 330 AWD. At first I had thought it was from the tires. So I had change them. The same humming noise is still there when driving. Louder at lower speeds, but still can be heard at faster speed. When I come to a complete stops, no noise at all?
would this be a wheel bearing problem coming from the rear?
would this be a wheel bearing problem coming from the rear?
I finally had it replaced today and my RX is quite as I can imaging again....
I bought the wheel hub from
http://www.primechoiceautoparts.ca/p...-new-mmy-.aspx
it's cheap but I saw in a Jeep forum that they are not bad. So I gave it a try this time.

I would try opening the sunroof about half way or so and see if it cuts down on it any. If that doesn't work, I don't think there is a solution to your problem other than closing the sunroof on the highway. Let us know what you find out.
