Default 2005 RX330 COLD startup Idle

When you all startup you RX's from overnite what RPM does yours go to?

When ours is "cold" outside temp is like 80F car sits in the cool garage overnite, go and start the car it start idle at 1100-1200 rpm for about 30 sec then come down to about 850 900 and stays there.

When the car is driven and its "Hot" or Normal operating temp, like run into a store and come back out and start the car, she starts right up and idles at 850 900 rpm off the start.

Dont know if this is an issue or normal, my tahoe does the same thing but idle recovers much faster, but this is my first lexus. and had it about a month never really paid attention, the only thig that i have changed recently was adding a K&N air filter.

I have code scanned it for present and past codes NONE.

I did do computer reset after the scan and did a drive cycle to reset anything for the addition of the K&N.

any thoughts?

Normal, but if you have concerns, call your dealer and if they say bring it in, take it in. Is the car under warranty still?

2 weeks out of warranty is not that bad. You have to establish a good relationship with your dealer.
