I was pretty sure they didn't have one based on reading the owner's manual ,the lack of a TPMS warning light on the dash and the lack of the reset switch under the steering wheel.

As you said though, hard to believe considering the 330 had a rudimentary TPMS system at that time (rudimentary because it only tested the number of rotations of the tire using the ABS sensor rather than an actual sensor in the wheel).

Wonder if the 18" wheels have something to do with it - the TPMS computer on the 330 was programmed to work with 17" wheels and reprogramming it to work with 18" wheels was too much trouble (or time/money)?

My 04 with 18" wheels has the TPMS. Must have something to do with it being a hybrid. I also find it very surprising that an 06 RX400 would not have this feature.

Default No TPMS in 400h until 2007 model

It turns out that the 2006 (first year) RX 400h didn't have TPMS.
It started being included the following year.

i can guarantee you get no warning on the dash whatsoever as i just checked all four tires pressures and two were 10 psi low, one 15 psi low, and the fourth only had 10 psi in it. and because of these off pressure, when you accelerate you jump sideways as the low tire spins at a different rate. and no warning from dash or car in any way. i filled all four tires and now when you accelerate it goes in a straight line. i thought it had sensors and never bothered to check pressures. boy was i wrong. who knows how much mpg we've been wasting.

A good reason to manually check tire pressures at least on a monthly basis.

Default Lexus TPMS

The Lexus TPMS system is a differential set up. It doesnt look at actual pressure. It looks at difference in pressure.

If you have the system on your Lexus and all 5 of your tires are at 30PSI. You wont get a light.

If one tire starts leaking and the other 4 are at 30PSI. You will get a light around 28 PSI in the bad tire. This is what happens with my spare thats not checked when I get the oil changed.

If all 5 tires start leaking at the same rate. Or are all set to a low pressure. The light wont come on.
