I hate to revive an old thread from the dead, but does anybody know if if you can still buy the platinum warranty after purchasing a CPO?

Just wondering, why would you want one if it was CPO'd? You have 3 years warranty

Lexus Financial Services offers three different Lexus Extra Care Vehicle Service Agreement plans for your new vehicle, all designed to help protect you from the costs of unanticipated repairs on covered components beyond your vehicle's basic warranty period. Each offers a variety of time and mileage options that fit your driving needs.

Vehicles are eligible for a New vehicle plan for if less than 4 years old and has fewer than 50,000 total vehicle miles.

When I purchased my RX with under 40k miles, I was offered to choose between CPO and Platinum service. This was how it explained to me:

CPO - 3 years from start of CPO, 100k total miles - $1000
Platinum - 5 years from start of Platinum, 100k total miles - $1800

Platinum covered a bit more than CPO, but sales guy made it sound like it was pretty similar. With that, it was clear to me that I'd be better off with CPO and save the $800, since it only covers up to 100K miles and chance of me covering 60k miles in 3 years was more likely than 5 years.
