Tire Rotation Including Spare

My dealer only did four on my new (then) 2005 330. After that, I did the rotations using five tires. Once the tires got worn, I chose the best and used it as the spare and bought four new tires. I am currently doing four tire rotations for obvious reasons.
My arguement is that the dealer isn't lazy but they are maximizing their time by only doing four. I would venture a guess that most folks don't know or ask how many tires the dealer rotates. I would bet that Lexus/Toyota knows what is best for their vehicles.
Fwiw, I check tires pressures every other week or so and my spare three or four times a year. It is a pain, but the pain would be greater trying to install a flat spare!
