iPhone / iPod install on the left driver side cup holder
Hi everyone I'm planning to install a setup so I can plug in my iphone.
I have a 2004 RX330 ultra primum with Nav. I would like to have bluetooth and songs running on the car speaker.
My plane is to set this up on the driver's left hand side cup holder.
Any suggestion, help, or sharing your past experience would be greatly appreciated.

My concern would be that if you put some sort of iPhone/iPod cradle in that cup holder it would be prone to being hit by you or somebody else getting in and out of the car. If any place, I would consider a center cup holder.

The biggest bang for the buck (or Loonie, in your case) I've seen for a combination iPod/iPhone/Bluetooth solution for late model Lexus vehicles is the Parrot MKi9100 with a Lexus model specific interface harness. The same setup used in the SC430 in this thread "should" work in an 04 RX: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...for-02-sc.html
With careful shopping, total cost should be below US$300.
There is probably a wider selection of cradles/holders for iPhones than for any other mobile device if you don't want to stash your iPhone in a cupholder, console or glove compartment.
