Nav Unit
The connector of the back of the Nav unit is where the lock pick unit goes. I had one for a couple of weeks. But it didnt work right for the Mark Levinson. So I took it back out.
Still 2 hours of labor at the Dealer is still a little much for changing out the Nav Disc.

The only issues with this are two -
1. When you first enable the over ride by pressing the new 'pushpin' on the screen - all of the options will become bright and allow you to enter destinations, etc. But, after about 6 seconds they will go grey again for about 2 seconds then come back on again to continue to enter the destination, etc. This only happens once, but it happens every time.
2. When the over ride is enabled, the nav system will not be tracking the satellites. When you finally get the destination entered, it might take about 10 seconds for it to find itself again and adjust itself to your actual location.
I've had it in for 2 years and haven't had any issues (other than those) with it.

Lexus Test Driver
same experience with our pick.
1. the lockpick works by intercepting the speed signal making the navi think the car is not moving so the navi frees up. I think what happens after a few seconds is the car tries to restablish the signal causing the lock then the lockpick wins out again and frees the system up.
2. I think this happens with every kit, lockpick or not. the system doesnt track while it's 'unlocked' since it thinks its not moving and that's the principle on which they all work. it's been a minor inconvenience for us. very glad to have the lockpick and it was so easy to install.
