I can't figure out how to switch off the VSC or VDIM. In my Acura I have a button labeled VSA and it shuts down the traction and stablity control. Now I'm not asking because I want to do a burn out or powerslide around a turn. With winter approaching I just want to be able to disable the traction system in case I get stuck. I remember seeing a TRAC off button somewhere but I can't find it.
On my 08 RX the trac off button is down by the drivers knee under the knee air bag, right next to the tire pressure monitor set button.

Ive had this car for a year and a half and never knew these buttons where here. In fact, last winter we had a moderate snow storm, and I went out driving and wished I could turn the TCS off.
the trac button under the steering column is only available on cars which are FWD. If you have AWD, you will not find this button and it is impossible to turn off the TRAC and VSC.

I those darn lexus guys tricked me and put the TRAC button under my dash. I have an AWD and a TRAC button

That is not true. Until I went and looked for myself, this was my understanding as well. But, our car is AWD and it definitely has the VSC off button.
lol really? I do not have one on my 2004, they must have changed something on the 2008 model
Yeah, it was "new" on the 2008. I have an '07 AWD, and no button. In fact, someone on here actually went to the trouble of ordering and wiring up the button in a 2007 (the harness is behind the dash whether the button is installed or not), and it didn't work.

In my AWD 04 I have the TRAC switch but no VSC switch.
