iPod/iPhone hook up through rear A/V
I'm thinking about running a standard RCA (audio cable) cable from the rear seat A/V input(behind the back passenger seat for RX with rear entertainment package) to the front and hook to a ipod/iphone dock.
I know I can't charge my ipod/iphone but that's for another day when I got time to rewire from the 12v lighter or even just use get a extention cable and run power from the rear A/V input.
Then when I drive I can just put the DISK button twice to get the audio to work and I can change songs through my ipod/iphone.
I know this is not the best way but for $10 of parts is not a bad fix for now.
Any inputs would be great

Since you don't have common ground between your iphone/ipod and the head unit, it will drain the iphone's battery very fast. My recommend to buy some type of power supply for your iphone/ipod and connect to the car's 12V.

power from back seat
Maybe I will rewire the back A/V and power outlet. This way I can run the wires behind everything and have a cleaner look. The only problem would be I can't hook anything els up to the rear A/V that easily since the hook ups will be just a dummy display and the real wiring will be at the back.
I think I can live with that since I'm not planing to put a playstation in there it.
